The Zeffirelli Archive joins ARCHIVI.DOC

The <strong”>Zeffirelli Archive takes part in ARCHIVI.DOC, an initiative promoted by ADSI – Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane, as part of the national event
“CARTE IN DIMORA. Archives and Libraries: stories between past and future.”

 

This is a unique opportunity to explore the richness of the Zeffirelli Archive up close.
Located next to the Library of the Arts and Performing Arts, the Archive preserves the living memory of over half a century of theater, cinema, and opera.
Scripts, screenplays, sketches, photographs, costumes, and audiovisual materials document every stage of the Maestro’s creative process — from research to staging, from set design to critical reception.

A truly unique heritage that reflects the Zeffirelli method, rooted in study, imagination, and meticulous attention to detail — offering an exceptional insight into the history of performing arts and Italian society in the 20th century.

 

Guided visits to the Zeffirelli Archive

🕚 Guided tours at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

 

 

During the day, visitors will be able to take part in a guided journey through the Archive, featuring a historical introduction and the presentation of a selection of original documents illustrating Zeffirelli’s vision and creative process.
