The Art of Drawing Portraits
Ukrainian artist Vitaliy Zherdev, is holding a workshop The Art of Drawing Portraits coinciding with his exhibition Portraits: the Monks in the Franco Zeffirelli Foundation.
The workshop is structured in two indivisible modules of 16 hours each.
Thanks to his extraordinary artistic skills, participants will be guided in the use of different graphic techniques (sepia, charcoal, graphite, etc.) to best express the physical and psychological characteristics of the faces, always different depending on the age, moods, personalities and individual characters of the different models.
The course aims to actively and individually engage the participants, in order that each of them be both – an artist and a model, portraying each other and then selecting one or another of them from time to time as a model for a posing session.
During the course, the teacher will personally supervise each participant so that all of them is able to go ahead independently, developing their own aptitudes and personal technical and expressive skills within a special context.
