Through the fairy tale set to music by Giacomo Puccini, staged several times by Franco Zeffirelli, children will come into contact with the magic of opera and the mysteries of theatrical staging.
The activity for elementary school is developed in two different moments. The first takes place through the halls of the Museum. The children will participate in an interactive guided tour, focusing on the room dedicated to the different editions of Puccini’s opera.
Museum staff will tell the story of the Chinese princess and illustrate the exotic setting. For this, set sketches, some stage costumes and a three-dimensional model of the stage layout will be used.
Then, in a teaching room located on the first floor, the children will offer their own vision of the play through their drawings. They will reflect on the characters of the characters and the places where the action takes place. Some of the drawings will then be exhibited in the Museum’s premises.
The visit without workshop, lasting about 45″ has a cost of 8 euros per student.
The visit + educational workshop, lasting about 2 h, costs 10 euros per student. Teachers are entitled to free admission.
