Directing Workshop, Training Course

Directing Workshop - Training Course

The directing workshop aims to steer each participant towards the complex profession of directing: a workshop of solutions, a place and a space to find creative ideas and open up to new perspectives of professional evolution.

The director must be aware of acting techniques, dramaturgical mechanisms, expressive use of space, visual elements and technical tools (scenes, costumes, sound-design, light-design, and video images). At the same time he has to develop the ability to organize and coordinate the different technical and artistic sectors towards the achievement of a result that is both effective spectacular , the result of teamwork.

The Directing Workshop – The training orientation internship will therefore provide an approach to the directing profession, starting from the basic tools of the job: the acting techniques such as the use of the voice and the body, rhythm, the use of space, the analysis of the theatrical text, and the knowledge of the fundamental theatrical structures; theoretical notes on the history of theatre and the history of modern direction.

To work creatively in the world of show business means to seek or search for the vital energy that each one of us possesses, but which is often hidden or distorted; it means above all to put oneself, one’s inner dynamics and energies into play in order to refine and sustain one’s talent” Massimo Luconi
